Nipsey is a truly gentle soul who spent over half of his life at the shelter. Even though he was stuck in a cold kennel by himself for almost a year, he never lost his happy-go-lucky spirit, always happy to see his volunteer friends at the gate and go to the yard, where he would rub himself against their legs and chase a tennis ball with unabandoned glee. His volunteer friends advocated for him when he became red listed and was scheduled for euthanasia, and an amazing foster stepped up and let this poor boy get the decompression time that he needed – and he’s truly blossomed out of the shelter environment. He currently lives with 2 cats, and three other large dogs – all of whom he gets along with! He’s respectful of the cats space, and playing appropriately and with joy with his new dog friends.

Though he was initially turned in on an alleged bite to an ankle after being tripped over while sleeping, his foster pawrent swears that “he would wear my skin before he ever bit me.”

He’s been enjoying the softer side of life in his foster home, snoring away on the couch when not frolicking with his foster siblings, and dreaming of his forever home!
