Simba was found as a stray and ended up at the South LA Shelter, where he spent three long months waiting for a second chance.

When Rowan sent us his picture, we knew we had to help. What can we say? We have a weakness for handsome faces!

Simba arrived with a few scars and healing wounds, along with a nasty upper respiratory infection that wasn’t going to get any better in the shelter. Thankfully, his injuries weren’t serious, and he’s now getting the care and attention he deserves.

Since joining the Squad, Simba seems to have decided he’s hit the jackpot! He’s settling into his new life and has already mastered the art of taking up an unreasonable amount of space on the couch.

Once his respiratory infection has fully cleared, he’ll be neutered and receive some much-needed dental care before he’s ready to find his forever home.

For now, Simba is exactly where he needs to be: safe, loved, spoiled rotten, and probably wondering why he didn’t get rescued sooner.

Welcome to the Squad, Simba!
