Utah

Who Am I?

Utah the Bionic Dawg!
Lucky Utah was in the North Central Shelter when Dawg Squad received an email about this little 12-pound terrier with a fractured pelvis and a sad face. He was a bit of a mess, wasn’t able to stand, was in pain and he was not eating. Dawg Squad quickly got him to the vet for pain meds and then transported him next day to our orthopedic specialist.
Our awesome orthopedic Veterinarian said we can rebuild him, we have the technology! Utah’s pelvis now is better than before with a multitude of pins. Utah is our Bionic Dog!
With a lot of TLC in his foster home Utah recovered quicker than any of us could have imagined. He is walking on his own, loves his meals and snacks shared with his foster friends, is a happy boy and ready for his forever home.
Utah is still healing with some nerve damage due to the trauma he endured in his pelvis, but with his tail wagging the veterinarian is optimistic he will make a full recovery.  He is just discovering his Bionic powers! Until then he can wear a diaper in case of an accident.  He will never be a big hiker, and prefers low energy canine companions, he is a love bug and has so much gratitude for everyone who helped him.
Looking for a snuggling friend?
Utah would do best in an adult home, we are still unsure of his Bionic powers, but are sure one of them is love for his forever family!
