UPDATE:    TOMMY IS ALL HEALED AND CAN NOW RUN LIKE THE WIND.     HE’S READY FOR ADOPTION!

This little guy has been thru the wringer! His back end is all scraped up and his right front leg is pretty badly broken.

Lucky for him, the Squad has a great orthopedist and primary care vet and Tommy is on his way to recovery.

He has an pretty cool external fixater which is keeping is upper right leg together. Towards the end of February, this may some off and something less bulky will be used to make sure his bones are healing properly. We know he will make a full recovery….it will just take time.

Anyway, Tommy is alert, great with other dogs, loves people and will probably be OK with cats. We don’t think children are a good idea right now…..maybe later on when he is completely healed.

Nothing special by way of care…..crate rest and vet follow ups. That is all that needs to be done right now.
