Sunflower

Who Am I?

Sunflower was brought into our vet’s office at 6 weeks old to be euthanized.   She had supposedly been attacked by another dog in the house and her eye was badly injured.   She weight a bit more than a pound.

WELL NO WAY!   Our vet gave us a call and we ran on down there to get this little bitty puppy.

She was bottle fed for a week or two but was a real trooper and hung in there!    She continued to gain weight and strength every day!

Sunflower has been seen by an ophthalmologist and a neurologist.   The left side of her face does have some nerve damage so it’s a little droopy and she will always have a tilt.    But there is no brain damage but she may have hearing loss on the left side.   And her eye is being removed on 1/20/2021.   She’s gonna look pretty cute with a permanent wink!

Now at 6 months Sunflower is social, happy, crate trained and learning how to walk on a leash.    She’s adorable and awesome.   We love her.    You will too.
