Gigi

Who Am I?

Gigi was found in Santa Monica and did some time at the Santa Monica Shelter which is where we found her.

She is a delightful bundle of cute. Gigi is very low key and will follow you everywhere.

She is currently in a foster home with 7 other dogs and gets along with everyone. However, we think she would be happier in a home with less dogs so she could get more attention.

Great on leash, great in a car. Gigi is not picky about her cuisine like some small dogs.

And she snores. Loudly. But that’s to be expected in a French Bulldog, right?

SPECIAL NEEDS:

We actually suspected that there was something going on with her legs and she just had a vet assessment.    Apparently Frenchies are prone to spinal issues and Gigi is no exception.

She has thoracic/lumbar disc abnormality and lumbar/sacral abnormality.   Both are at the junctions of the different vertebrae.

In addition, her right hip is dysplastic and she has luxating patellas in both her knees.

She gets around fine on hardwood floors, concrete and carpet.   She has a hard time on tile and slippery floors – can’t get a grip.   Will she eventually need a cart?    Maybe.  Only time will tell.  She loves taking walks….she’s just slow.

All in all, she’s a great little dog but she does have limitations
